Are we scary?

Scared of the dentist? You're not alone. 1 in 6 Australian adults are scared of the dentist so it's safe to say that we treat anxious patients everyday. Think that we've never seen someone as scared as you? Trust us, we've seen it all and you can't scare us!

We are experienced in helping those who would rather be anywhere but in a dental clinic. We make your comfort a priority and work with you to ensure that you are comfortable during your visit.

For many adults the fear of a dental appointment results in delaying or avoiding dental care and often this results in a once small dental problem becoming a terrible toothache. Unfortunately this means that instead of a simple filling we are faced with either a root canal or removing the tooth. If you are afraid of dentist the best thing you can do is come in early for preventative treatment. This allows us to avoid a lot of treatment and where treatment is required it's usually a small and straight forward procedure.

Think you've left it too long? Its never too late to make a positive change for your health. We have restored the mouths of countless patients who have been many years without seeing the dentist. We can help you get your oral health back in order and then work with you to maintain it long term.

Here's what you need to know about what we can do for you.

1. Times have changed.

Often a fear has developed due to a bad experience with a dentist in childhood or many years ago. Dental care is not like it used to be. Dental care has improved incredibly, and today, dental care is all about you. We are gentle. Our treatments are comfortable. We can save more teeth than ever before. We help you to prevent problems instead of waiting for issues to arise. Our clinic is light, airy, spacious and welcoming. If you want everything done fast so that its over and done with we can do that for you. If you prefer to tackle a little bit at a time we can do that too.

2. We can take your mind off where you are.

We have a TV on the ceiling. You can chose your favourite program from Netflix and focus on that instead of us. Top gear, beautiful nature documentaries and cartoons are popular. We play music over Spotify and you can have your choice of playlist, or bring in your phone and headphones and drown out the noise.

3. Need something stronger?

We also offer medication options. We can provide a sedative tablet like valium to make you feel relaxed. This option will require someone to drop you off and collect you after the appointment. You will not be able to drive or operate machinery for 24 hours. For an option which wears off faster we can provide penthrox. Penthrox is the green whistle that is often used in ambulances. It will make you feel relaxed and giggly. This is provided when you arrive and usually wears off within a few hours. You will still need someone to collect you from your appointment.

4. Needles not your thing?

We don't like having them either. We have excellent numbing gel which goes on first to numb the gum. We are very gentle.

We pride ourselves on having a relaxed, calm and professional clinic where it's all about you. We are different and we can help you to have your teeth treated comfortably. Don't put it off any longer. We are here to help. Book in and see what we are like.
